Greetings from Moshi,
I know its been a while since you’ve heard from me and I wish that I had a good excuse for that, but I don’t. I guess I’ll get the formalities out of the way first. We are in Moshi Tanzania, which is nestled into the foot hills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The view from our window here is quite literally breath taking, when the clouds allow us to see the mountain. Our ministry here has been pretty strait forward so far, just repeated speaking engagements and a hospital visit. I told you all in a recent blog that God has really been stretching me in the area of public speaking and that defiantly continues on this month. I am really hoping I’ll be a comfortable speaking by the time we leave here. Pray for me, I get to speak again in a few days. We have also had the chance to meet a former coworker and friend of Colby’s. She moved here four years ago and help to start a children’s home/orphanage which we were able to visit. It was truly a blessing to have had the chance to sit and talk with her about the vision they had and how it all came about. She also had us over for dinner last Monday. She made us Spaghetti and meat sauce with yellow cake and ice cream for desert. It was so good that Chelsea cried when she tried the cake. Another missionary who works at the orphanage invited us to a worship night he attends with some other missionaries. It was so great to spend time worshiping in their home. I love meeting other believers who are living out their calling faithfully.
Despite all the great things that we have been apart of this last week, it has still been a hard one. When things happen at home it’s always hard on us not being there. When they go really wrong and there is no way for us to get there its even harder. We have experienced that in the worst way this past week. For those of you who may not know, Lacey’s grandmother past away last Thursday. It sucks grieving apart from your family, knowing that you can’t help them when they need it the most. Please keep us in your prayers. I’m sorry I haven’t kept you all updated, I guess all that has gone on has really sacked my creativity and desire to write much. Sorry….
