So we just spent four days at the Awakening Conference in Brosov Romania. It was basically awesome. All four of the World Race Squads that are on the Field came together to worship, fellowship and dive into the presence of God together. It was a time to get replenished, we were able to encourage eachother and speak life to one another. We learned so much in just four days from the world racers that have been on this journey longer. We had sermons and sessions that taught us more about what bringing Kingdom really means and how to chose kingdom for our own lives. Nick and I have been blessed by the WR staff so much with their willingness to help us married couples out as much as possible and to make this 11 months more of a growning period for us. We have been meeting with the other married couple on our squad and k squad and our coaches. Our coaches have been amazing at giving us advice and speaking into our marriage. This month at the Awakening we were also able to meet with the married teams on H and I squads. Being able to ask them questions and getting advice from them was helpful.
The longer we’re on the race the more conformation that I get that this is where we’re supposed to be and the Awakening helped confirm that so much more. There are moments that are hard; living in community, missing family and friends, dying to yourself, and letting God have control and move even when that becomes uncomfortable. From these hard moments comes life, victory, and kingdom I can’t think of three better reasons to sacrafice these 11 months of our lives. Nick and I desire to finish the next 9 months here on the race. We are still in need of support, if there is any way you or someone you know can support us.
