Dear Loved Ones,

Nick and I are excited to share our news with you! In August 2009 we will be leaving to go on a mission trip for 11 months in 11 different countries. We will be participating in a program called “The World Race” put on by Adventures in Missions.
“The World Race” is a program that involves adventure, ministry, community, self-discovery and growth. We will be sleeping in tents and living out of backpacks for 11 months. Living with the poorest of the poor. Working alongside established, local ministries. In some countries we will be playing with children in an orphanages, encourage those suffering from HIV, teaching at a local schools, feeding the hungry, and most of all, showing the love of Christ, the everlasting hope.

As many of you know we have been Youth Leaders for the past year.  During this time God has stretched us and molded us into different people, people with a passion for the lost. God has given us a desire to evangelize abroad. Nick and I have a deep desire not to be complacent and not to be ordinary. We have prayed that whatever God’s plan is for us, that we would follow. God has led us to The World Race.
We are excited to share this with you, because we know that we cannot minister in this way without you. We will need your prayers and supporting words as we begin this adventure and battle for the lost. We will also need your support financially.
We are not leaving our families and friends without a way for us to stay in touch. We will be updating our own blogs online while we are gone. You will be able to log on and read how God is using and changing us. There will also be photos posted online, so that you can also see what God is doing.
There are so many ways of giving, automatic withdrawals, secure online giving or mailing checks.  We have to raise about $30,000.00, to cover food, lodging, travel expenses, as well as training and health costs. You can make a one-time donation or a monthly pledge. (great or small). We need $15,000.00 by May 2009 and the other $15,000 pledged by the time we leave in August 2009. If we have a 125 people pledge $10 monthly for a year that’s half of our goal! Everyone’s sacrifice helps! I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. They request that you send all donations by August 2009.
Adventures In Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures In Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax advisor.
We are very excited about how God will use us and what he will teach us through this experience. We pray that we will not only be a blessing to those we serve, but also to you. We will go as your representative of Jesus Christ. We hope that you will prayerfully consider being part of our ministry. Thank you so much!

 With our love and gratitude,

Nick and Lacey Pauley
