So I wanted to take a minute and tell you about the day that we just had and how God can completely blow your mind when you get out of his way. The day started out with an interesting first for our two teams. After 67 hours of travel we finally arrived in Tirana, Albania at 1:30 am. Now we are here to trail blaze, test the waters so to speak so nothing was set up for us. With no luck finding a hotel that fit our budget. We decided to tough it out in a park near the center of town. Yeah I know… I’ve never spent the night in a park before, I don’t think any of us had. So naturally the guys took turns watching over the stuff and the ladies as they slept.

By around 8:00 am we were all awake and decided to start worshiping and see what would happen. People started stopping and watching us. I mean a group of Americans gathered around a huge pile of backpacks singing at the top of their lungs is bound to attract some attention. A man walked up to Lacey and started up a conversation. He eventually offered to show us where a cheap Hostel was. So a few people went with him to see if we could afford it. Now the details of the next part gets a little blurry for me.  I’ve heard it told life five different ways. But basically they ended up walking right up to the Campus Crusade For Christ’s national headquarters. Now you should know that both Ken and Chelsea had tried to contact the guy in charge of Campus Crusade here in Albania but had not heard back from him yet and while this group had gone to find a hostel Ken had left to try to get a sim card for his phone so he could call the C.C. people and see if we could work together. You know, trail blazers and all. ( Isn’t God awesome) So as they talk to the director he begins to realize all that we could help them with this month. AKA tons of youth and college age ministries to help out with and a conference at the end of the month headlined by Josh McDowell!!!! So he makes some calls and finds us a place to stay (another incredible blessing, I’ll try to show you later). Now please keep in mind that its only around 10AM at this point. I mean we arrived in Tirana less than 9 hours before with nothing but a lot of prayer, a few names and emails and a willingness to totally trust that God knew what he was doing and now we had already reached a contact and they were excited that we had come and wanted to work with us. God just blows me away sometimes, is that weird. I mean I’m out here to seek and follow the voice of God and he still surprise the crap out of me when I really see him at work in what we are doing. I don’t care if its weird…….I love it!

I am so excited for what God is going to do with us as we let go and trust him to lead us this month and the rest of our trip. Please pray for us and support us if you can. We’ve got a long ways to go but every little bit helps.

Love you all

Nick
