As a squad we all celebrated actual thanksgiving at the end of month two in Ecuador early November!  It was nice cause we had all the typical foods like turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing!

On November 23rd (Thanksgiving Day) 2017, my team and I were in Thailand teaching English to Thai kids!  This was totally not the norm for me growing up, because back home you always only have school on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week! But here Thanksgiving isn’t a thing so we had school.  Some of the teachers here at the school that we work with wanted to celebrate with us for Thanksgiving, so they took us to a local Thai Restaurant!! So for Thanksgiving dinner instead of having turkey and mashed potatoes we had rice and chicken!

All in all thanksgiving wasn’t bad at all on the race just very very diiffernt!  I did get to talk to all of my family on my dads side because everyone was at my house back home so that was real fun and cool!!
