Hi, my name is Nicholas Hesselgesser. I am 18 years old. I am a musician and an athlete. I was born in New Jersey but raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have known of Christ for my whole life but I have actually known Him personally for a shorter amount of time, and I am excited to see my relationship with Christ grow through this great experience and beyond.
I decided to take on this great adventure for my first year out of high school instead of college on a phrase I believe that God has placed on my heart and has confirmed it in a multitude of ways. This phrase is: “Be different.” I have gone through school my whole life hearing about how we’re supposed to do super well in school and go to the best college and make the most money we can after that, and if you don’t do that there’s something wrong with you because everyone follows this path. However as Christians we are called to be different and to not conform to the ways of this world. Going on this adventure is a way of being different from the world. It is a great conversation starter and a witnessing opportunity. It also gives me the opportunity to grow in my faith and leave a lasting impact all over the world.
I am excited to see the impact of this adventure around the world and growth in my relationship with Christ.
