This past week I was challenged by one teammates to put into words what my expectations for this trip are, what I want to see God do, and what my audacious prayers are. After finishing and reading it to my team I decided to share it here on my blog for you all to read and see my heart behind why I am here, and where I see myself going. So here it goes…
Why am here?
I am here because I cannot live the American dream and be happy.
I am here because I know that I can only find true happiness in following the path God has for me and this is part of that path.
I am here because I fully know that what I will learn here on this race will propel me into what God has next for me.
Who I want to be on this race.
Someone who can build into those that are around me.
To be able to take good advice as well as give it.
To be humble and a servant leader.
To bring in prayer daily the needs of my team and squad members.
To dig deeper into the word daily and increase my knowledge of the word of God.
Who I want to be by the end of the race
The kind of person that can spend hours at a time in prayer with God.
The kind of person that can spend hours in the word of God and not get bored.
To live like every word in the Bible is true and applicable in my life.
Someone the Holy Spirit can flow through to give life to those around me.
To fully understand what it means to take every thought captive and how to do it.
I want to be able to express my ideas and emotions in a way that those around me can understand.
I do not want to the kind of person that think he can do everything by himself.
To be able to give a reason for my hope to anyone at any time.
To be able to see every single person around me as someone who is important and loved 100% by the same God who loves me 100%.
To never worry about money, where I will sleep, where I will eat, or what I will wear.
I want God to give me a vision.
To have intimate conversations with God daily.
Audacious prayers
To go to Trujillo, Peru and work with Joel Savage.
To be a team leader.
To be a squad leader.
For it to be easy can come naturally for me to learn Spanish.
Come to Guyana again in the future.
For God use me to do miracles.
To see the lame walk, the blind see, the deaf hear, the demons flee.
I want to have an out of body experience with Jesus.
To become a Matthew 10:11 man of peace.
