My name is Nic Bianco and I have recently been accepted to The World Race. (Which you know already if you are currently reading this.) I just wanted to take this first blog post and tell you a little bit about me and my journey thus far. I am 20 years old and currently work at Starbucks as a barista. I grew up in Lordstown, Ohio and moved to Bowie, Maryland when I was 13. The reason I had to move was my father took a new job as the Awana Missionary for this region. I had a difficult time adjusting and started turning my back on and others wise just ignoring God. This all changed however when I finally had the true realization that Jesus Christ is my savior and that through Him it is the only way to develop a real relationship with his Father. Since then I have graduated and done a year and a half of school at a local community college and currently do not have any idea what I want to do as a profession. For right now I am very excited about this wonderful opportunity to spread my faith around the world and just help anyone in need. I have always wanted to help others and this is the first time I really see myself being able to do that on a large scale. There is one huge thing I would desperately plead for you to do for me pray, pray, and pray some more. Pray specifically that I stay healthy both physically and spiritually. Pray that I can follow God's will for me on this trip. Lastly pray that I can raise the funds that I need to make this dream a possibility.
