When I was 12 years old, I remember telling my parents that I knew God had called me to be a missionary. This passion within my heart as a child, has now developed into reality.

Recently, I asked the Lord to remove any distractions in my life that kept me away from pursing His will and He did just that. I prayed for God’s guidance to lead me where He wanted me to go. God opened a door and led me to this non-profit mission organization, The World Race.

The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. One of the unique things about The World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program. Through The World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the gospel. Also we will plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for this opportunity to work in furthering the gospel all throughout the nations. My heart was convicted with this specific scripture from Matthew 4:19 when Jesus spoke to his disciples:

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

What an amazing faith the disciples displayed, as they forfeited their lives and gave up everything for the sake of the gospel.  This is the desire of my heart as well. The Lord is calling me to trust and give up everything to follow him, with embarking on this new journey, The World Race.
