Friend,
This blog is for you.
Yep, YOU reading this. I’m thinking of you because we have 17 days left on the world race and I realize, it’s because of you that I am here today.
Without Jesus and you, I wouldn’t have made it throughout this journey, BUT because of your partnership lives are changed.
I want to give you a small glimpse on one thing that YOU helped in from each country:
In Kosovo: Families living in low-income housing received clothing they needed to keep warm in the winter.
In Romania: A man named John sitting on a bench questioned God throughout his life. He heard the news of Jesus and how much he loves him, and asked Jesus to come into his heart.
In Malawi: A man who when we first met was lying flat on a bamboo mat and couldn’t walk for 3 days. At the end of the 3rd day, with a lot of faith and prayer, he rose up and accepted Jesus into his heart.
In Zimbabwe: Many young girls at a safe house, for the first time heard about their worth and value in Jesus. We got to see joy and laughter on their faces.
In Botswana: Patients at a children’s hospital who were suffering from cancer or malnutrition, smile so big when they received a small stuffed animal and prayer.
In Cambodia: A girl who worked at the local market asked me about my shirt that said “Jesus” and for the first time heard the name of Christ and His gospel.
In Thailand: Young girls at an orphanage learned that they are a daughter of a King and have a Heavenly Father that loves them so much.
In Malaysia: A man named Billy (who lost all his wealth in his life from a business bankruptcy) wound up in a homeless shelter to hear that his life still matters. God has not forgotten about him and the good work God started in him He will complete.
In Panama: An an indigenous tribe that lived far into the jungle heard the song “Amazing grace,” sang to them and reminded them that I too once was lost but now am found by Jesus.
In Costa Rica: A family showed our team what genuine love, hospitality, and family in Christ looks like.
So…
To the ones who took the time to chat with me over coffee or on the phone, in person, wherever and hear my dreams, passions, heart and say “yes” I want to support her,
To the ones who have prayed earnestly over my life,
To the ones who have sent bible verses, songs and words from the Lord,
To the ones who gave financially even when you didn’t have the money to really do it,
To the ones who believed a blonde, starbucks loving, shop fanatic, outgoing, Jesus loving girl like myself could do it,
Thank you.
I wish you could grasp the weight of those two words in my heart. This journey is not over yet, BUT I am eternally grateful for you.
With so much love and gratitude,
Nettie
Philippians 1:3-11
I thank my God every time I think of you…
