Here is a little information on what our month looked like in China:
What we did

Three teams headed together on a train to north central China where we met our contact and were given our assignment.  Each team was sent in a different direction with goal of going to three assigned cities.  The purpose was to explore, pray, and share the gospel.

A Normal day
Eat breakfast at 8am and then meet for team prayer.  Our team’s personal goal for the month was to gain a deeper level of intimacy with God.  To help usher this we would spend two to three hours of personal time with God in the morning. Then we would meet for lunch at noon and head out to prayer walk in the city.  Then we would meet for dinner and have a team meeting and/or just hang out.  – This is just a rough sketch of a typical day.

Where we stayed
We stayed in hotels.  Sometimes getting hot water and heat.  It cost less then 6 U.S. dollars a night per person. The cities where all surround by terraced fields.  They ranged in size from, guessing, 20 thousand to ½ a million. The religion was mostly Muslim and some Buddhist.

1st City
Was very warm and welcoming to us.  We spent our ministry time prayer walking.  We were invited into a few homes to have tea.  We took opportunities to lay hands on children and pray over them as we play with them in the streets.

2nd City
The people were not very welcoming to our presence.  Some of my teammates and I prayed through one of the nights, a “prayer watch”, from 11pm to 7am.  We felt a lot of spiritual resistance so we only stayed here for two days.

3rd City
Very warm and friendly.  We were able to meet some students from the teachers college.  We set up times to meet with them to have lunch.  We took the opportunity to ask about their religion and share about ours.

Beijing
We finished our month by spending three days in Beijing seeing the sites: The Great Wall, The Forbidden City, and the Olympic park.
