First let me tell you that I have been overly blessed this week.  I have been living first class by World Race standards.  I have been provided with a bed, sheets, towel, showers, laundry, excellent food, and easy access to Internet.  It has made for an easy transition.  However, it is super humid here, like 90%, and hot.

This week we have been getting filled up with teaching about walking in the power of Christ (and I mean literal power) and really discovering how far intimacy with Christ can go.  I am not going to lie it has been a little crazy.  Our coach for the year Gary Black is an anointed man of God and also nuts.  His desire is to see us come fully alive.  He definitely is the kind of person that loves to get right to the point and is not afraid to shake things up a bit (understatement).  But he is the type of guy I love.  He is not afraid to push me into the uncomfortable and force me to question/rediscover everything I know.  (I know I am being vague.  I have a ton of processing to do yet and hope to write some blogs when I have put some coherent thoughts together.)

Our official ministry begins on Monday.  The heart of Jeff Long, the founder of Kids International Ministries, is to see us serve where God has gifted us.  There are so many different ministry opportunities here that we actually get to pick/make up what we do for the month.  My team, Dunamis, is praying to see where God wants us serve this month.  I am so excited to learn from the people here and bring the love Christ to them.
