I have fallen in love with Guatemala and its people. Everyone is so friendly. I am always greeted with a smile or a Hola. Panajachel is one of the most beautiful locations I have been to on the Race. We stayed about 100 yards away from a lake with two towering volcanoes across from it. I got to flex my muscles (or what is left of them) this month doing construction work on a ruined hostel. We did mostly demolition work, which is awesome. In the future the hostel will be used to host missionaries and other visitors. The church we partnered with was awesome. We were accepted as family right away and it is difficult for me to leave some of the relationships I have made.
We are headed out at 4am tomorrow to Granada, Nicaragua. I will be on a bus for about 30 hours! We will be working at an Adventures in Missions base where we will be doing all sorts of ministries. I will update you when I know more.
