I’ve realized that although I have told you that I will be going to 11 Countries for 11 Months, I haven’t told you which 11 countries I will be going to.
So here they are!

7) Malaysia

9) Swaziland
10) Botswana
11) South Africa
You may be wondering where I’ll be staying in each of the countries. I actually don’t know. All that I know for sure is that it’s pretty likely I’ll be tenting! So this sounds really exciting to me…. other people that I’ve told, well, not so much. Most people say, “Good for you, I don’t think I could ever do that.” Not to mention that the thought of the varied (and dangerous) wildlife in the countries makes it seem a little bit scary too. But I know I’ll be okay.
But how can I know for sure? A while back, I was reading through Joseph’s story in the Bible. I came across a passage that I felt God was using to speak to me.
“And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
“I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again.”” (Genesis 46:2-4)
If you’ve read my other posts, you know that I feel that God has called me to go on this trip. I responded, “Here I am” to Him and now, through this passage, God was telling me not to be afraid, that He is going to do great works through me while I am on the trip. He is going to be with me, and He is going to bring me back home again.
It was a pretty amazing message to get from God.
So I’m not so scared about my safety or the whole tenting thing. I’m excited because I’m going to be seeing some great things from God. I can’t even begin to imagine how it’s going to change me. All I can do is thank God for the opportunity that He has given me.
