I met Ancoresh while teaching at a school in the slums of Nepal. His curiosity and pure joy captured my heart. You can read more about him in my blog called ‘Life in the Slums – Meet Ancoresh’

Ancoresh loves to sing a worship. I think the fact that I love music as much as he does is what finally won him over.

Every Wednesday our squad went out to play with the street boys. We played soccer and frisbee. Then we gave them lunch and put on skits. Wednesdays slowly become one of my favorite days of the week.

Our weekly soccer games with the street kids was as much a chance for us to have fun as for them.

Not far from our house is a row of prayer wheels. Buddhists will some here and spend time spinning each wheel before they start their day.

Worship during our first debrief, before beginning our second month on the race.

Almost every morning I saw this woman on my way to ministry. Although she didn’t speak a word of English she stopped to smile and say hi to us, hands together, with a slight bow of her head. Kindness and happiness radiate from every part of her.

Nepali architecture is beautiful. The city is filled with old buildings with rooftops you can visit and see the whole city from. One of my favorite parts of Nepal was sitting on the rooftops and enjoying the peace and view.

There are Buddhist and Hindu alters on every corner.

Shiraz Majeed shared his incredible story of forgiveness and trust with me. I’ll be posting a blog about him and the terrible time he spent captured soon. Look out for the blog post (http://nazhagos.theworldrace.org/?filename=tortured-for-christ-one-mans-story) to learn more about his unbelievable story.

Hiding from the camera. This little guy came out to play with us and eat with us every Wednesday.

Okay… so these guys didn’t quite make the top 11 but I wanted to share them anyways… so here are a few bonus pictures.

Piles of trash are everywhere in Nepal. Locals will light fire to the piles to get rid of them.

Traffic is so heavy here that a lot of locals have bikes instead.

He’s so entranced by my teammate’s telling of Daniel and the lion’s den that I couldn’t help but sneak a pic.

My squadmate playing with one of the boys on Wednesday. I don’t know who’s having more fun!

These flags have Buddhist prayers on them and covered the walls of the hostel we stayed at during debrief.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s helped me reach my third financial deadline and stay on the World Race! You have no idea how much it means to me. Right now 2 of my teammates are still fundraising for their deadline on April 1st.

Eleina Camarillo needs $2467
Bridget Bernhard needs $388

PLEASE keep them in your prayers and consider donating to them to help them reach their goal! We need them both!
