Hiking through Spain definitely brought about a more complete picture of the country than if we had just sat in one location. Though brief, we were able to explore the mountains in the north, march westward across Spanish countryside, and walk on the smooth sands of the Atlantic and Mediterranean beaches. Our Camino journey stretched across Northern Spain and finished at the very “End of the World”. Then, change in plans took us inward to Madrid—the heart of Spain. Our final travel days pushed us south to Malaga on the southern coast. From green grassy mountains, across rolling grape filled plains, along rocky shores and all the way to southern beaches spotted with umbrellas and tourists, Spain has held many surprises. Because of the continual travel this month, I captured quite a few more colors (flowers) than last month! A slow and steady month, Spain has been a unique time of growth, friendship, and depth. From the soil of hardships the roots of friendship grow flowers of love. Walking together over the roughest terrains and through the hardest moments brings unity and friendship where comforts never could. God has certainly flipped my life on its head and has brought so many unexpected blessings, challenges, and new experiences. Here we are yet at the beginning of this walk with Him this year. At the end of the Camino and Spain, I feel as though I am standing on the threshold of life still yet to come in this year and in years to come. Spain set the tone for walking by faith, waiting on the Lord, and trusting that He knows what is best.
Trust. Patience. Endurance. Wait. Hope. Walk by Faith.
With Faith, Hope, and Love
