We were only in Azerbaijan for 5 days as part of 10 days of travel from Egypt to Astana, Kazakhstan. Baku was the city we stopped over in for a few nights as we waited for the cargo ship to leave port and cross the Caspian Sea to Kazakhstan. Let me tell you, the fresh sea air and sunshine was amazing! Especially when it’s sandwiched between crowded train rides and ship cabins.
Though brief, Azerbaijan was a refreshing stop. While we walked around in the sun by the water or through the cities spectacular architecture there were still a few flowers to catch before we moved on with our journey.
