Hey! My name is Nathan Perez
I am an 18 year old graduate currently working full time to save up for the future! “Where?” you may be thinking. Well I’m glad you asked! I live in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada, with my family. “Who is that?” you may be wondering. Well I’m glad you asked!
This. this is my awesome family. I’m the youngest in the group. Then there’s my brother, David crouching behind me. I got my two sisters, Keziah and Talia, and of course my parents, Ray and Gretchen. Ooo ooo and I almost forgot about the second white one in our family: Calvin, a 14 year old labradoodle. Together, we are the Perez Family!
Now I get it, you’re probably dying to know what I like to do for fun right now, but you know what? I ain’t got the time. I’ve got work to do. I’m a busy man. “Come on!” you plead. “Tell us more! Don’t leave us in suspense like this!”
Alright alright sheesh!
I love to play and sing music! Guitar and Piano are my specialty but I’ve only been playing a few years now, nevertheless I always have a blast playing with others!
Here’s a picture of me playing Wonderwall.
In addition to music, I am super into basketball! Whether it’s playing, watching, or simply talking about it, I love the sport! If you watch the NBA like me, here’s where I stand:
- Favourite player: Kawhi Leonard
- Favourite team: Clippers (because of Kawhi Leonard)
- Team that’ll win the championship: Please see above.
Now, in this picture of my old team you may have noticed I’m a little tall, but before you ask I’ll just answer: the weather’s fine up here.
Alright, that’s really all I have time to share. I’ve got places to be so-
“But Nathan!” You rudely interrupt, “We wanna hear WHY you’re doing this. WHY you’re doing the World Race!”
Well, I appreciate your interest, so I’ll tell you.
For a long time I’ve known I’ve wanted to do some type of short term outreach. The world is a really broken place, and it needs Jesus. It needs the Gospel. To me the World Race looks like an amazing opportunity to spread The Good News to those in many of the impoverished areas of the world while also pushing me to my limits and growing my relationship with God. There’s a little bit more to it all than this, so if you ever wanna hear more about it I’d love to talk with you more on why I feel called to the World Race!
As I’m writing this, The Race begins almost a year from now and seems pretty far in the future, nevertheless I’ve got a lot of preparing to do, so I really must go. I am SO excited to do this, and appreciate all your prayers and donations supporting me on this journey as I continue to fundraise and prepare for next September.
Thanks for Reading and God Bless!
-Nathan
