Learning to live.

.

Recently (since I posted the “you matter.” blog really.) I’ve been learning this very interesting concept. I know I matter but how do I live every day like I do matter. How do I give my opinion? How do I lean into feedback and become an assertive person in life? How do I love myself and others well? those seem like easy questions, and really they are but they’re challenging questions. Here’s the answer.

.

You stand up and live.

.

I wanted to share a little piece of what the Lord has taught me about this exact subject. So here is a section from my journal:

.

“the funny thing about living Nathan is that everyone desires to live a full life, but they don’t want the work or the process it takes. They just want it, done. What you’re learning and I’m teaching you is that living and showing up is significantly harder than you may have first thought. To live, you have to risk rejection constantly. You risk your heart all the time. And you can’t just fade into the background, your presence matters and counts now. You have an opportunity to exhort and disciple now. Cause if you carry Jesus in you then it would be a waste not to help others.”

.

All that being said I want to challenge you to stand up and live today. And every day. Risk rejection. Risk failure. Risk your heart for the sake of connection and love for one another. If your presence matters, now there must be an action to give what you have been given. I attempt to live like Jesus everyday and sometimes it hurts. But I know I’ve been given a gift and I must share.

.

you matter, now live.
