So we have been in Costa Rica for about a week and a half now, and it honestly feels like we have been here for a lot longer. Today was our last day getting introduced to new ministries, so now everything we are doing here is laid out pretty clear. A lot of our ministry is subject to change on a day to day basis, but for the most part it stays relatively solid. We start the week off with a deep clean day on Monday, followed by ATL time. ATL stands for “ask the Lord” and it’s pretty much free time to be able to do whatever we feel like God has for us in the moment.

Our second ministry opportunity is hanging out with homies at the skate park. We were told that especially in this society, the skateboarding community is really looked down upon, and it’s our ministry to go in and just love on the guys there, hopefully to build relationships and set a foundation for opportunities to share the gospel with these guys. Most of these guys lives consist of skateboarding and that’s really about it and from our perspective, hanging out at the park is the highlight of their day, so if we can make that a little better than its a win.

The third ministry in on Wednesday is discipleship, and we haven’t done a whole lot yet but the main idea is that we are going to different people’s houses and teaching them about God. Then on Friday we do manual labor and physical work at a place called project Abraham.
