Dear Family and Friends,
During the past year, I’ve struggled finding peace in applying to colleges. I had no clear direction on my future plans, but then I learned about the World Race Gap Year program. I researched the program and felt God pulling at my heart, telling me there’s no way I could pass up this mission opportunity He put in front of me. I decided to put college and other plans on hold for a while and trust God to lead me wherever I am supposed to go in the coming year. I am honored to announce that Adventures in Missions has accepted me into the World Race Gap Year program.
In August, I will be teaming with a group of 18-21 year olds from around the country to go on a 9-month mission trip to the countries of Guatemala, Lesotho (South Africa) and Cambodia! My team and I will be living in each of these countries for 3 months. I won’t know many of our ministry specifics until it gets closer to August, but I do know we will be partnering with several orphanages and hospitals and ministering to victims of human trafficking.
Now here’s the part where you come in. I won’t be staying in any vacation suites, but traveling is still very expensive. For this trip to be possible, I need to raise $13,805 ($5,000 by 5/13/16; $10,000 by 7/22/16; and $13,805 by 11/30/16). This amount includes all of my travel expenses, lodging and meals. Like most people, I don’t have that kind of money lying around, but I trust that God will provide. This may sound like a huge number, but to put it in perspective: if 13 people donated $1,000; 50 people donate $260; or 100 people donate $130, my trip would be almost fully funded. Any and all donations are welcome; and prayers are in higher demand!
