Hola everyone! Glad to say we have made it, from all over the place, to
Miami, and finally to the Dominican Republic. It´s hot, dusty, and
there´s not too many english speakers outside of our group, pretty
sweet. The Dominican people are warm, love to chat and hang out, and
have a general disregard for time and being on time, especially when
they are fostering relationships (they don´t mind being late if they
are busy being with friends or family). Hanging out on the street, laid
back lifestyle? I think I can handle this. It´s been very enjoyable
being able to speak spanish to the locals, especially the kids. It´s
going to be hard dealing at first, living in community with my
teammates and squadmates, but we are commited to following Jesus, and
confident that whatever disputes or conflicts we have are nothing
compared to his redeeming love. My teammates are staring me down now
cause I have been online to long at the internet cafe, so i gotta go,
but hope you are all doing well and i´ll update you soon. Adios!
