WOW! El Salvador is Awesome! and Intense! ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
There are areas in this country that I have seen so far that are literally people living in shacks and then you go ten minutes down the road and there’s a Chili’s, Wendy’s and Pizza Hut. It’s so weird. The people are happy here though very friendly and welcoming. El Salvador is all foreigners kind of like the melting pot of Central America. So it’s a very forward thinking country very similar to the States in ways.

Our ministry this month is called Mi Casa International. It is an Orphanage of about 27 kids and young adults. It is run by a great guy called Bob Macdonald from Buffalo NY. He has been running Mi Casa Kids for about 25 years. They have two big houses where the kids are divided into girls and guys. The ages range from 3 months old to 24 years old, in the guys house there are mostly guys and the girls have the younger ladies.
A typical day here in El Salvador consists of repainting the houses, developing a PowerPoint for the ministry, and updating their website. We are all working in areas we are strong in so its bee a real blessing for me and my team. This month all our food is cooked for us which is nice, it’s great to break bread with a bunch of bros every night. We are planning a camping trip this weekend which we are all pumped about the kids have been asking to camp for three years!
All in all it’s been a great week here in El Salvador and I know it’s going to keep getting better and better. We have pretty constant Internet access here so I should be able to keep everyone updated on a constant basis. You are all in my prayers!
