Traveling from Rvine in the Ukraine, Europe to Das esSalaam in Tanzania, Africa looked something like this

Sun 1am: 3 hour van ride to Kiev airport

Sun 4am: 5 hour wait in the airport

Sun 11am: 2 hour Flight Kiev to Istanbul, Turkey
Met up with our new short Term mission teammates!!!

Sun 7pm: 7 1/2 flight Istanbul, Turkey to Tanzania followed by 2 hours of visa processing and loading the bus

Mon 4:21am: 30 min bus ride airport to hotel followed by an 1 1/2 of bargaining for cheaper hotel rates

Mon 7am: Sound asleep in a comfy bed

Mon 8:30am: woken by leaders telling us to go eat breakfast before its gone, followed by eating breakfast

Mon 10am: Sound asleep in a comfy bed

Mon 6pm: Woke from being sound asleep in a comfy bed followed by dinner and shower and some brief internet and Skype with the family from a noisy, busy, local resturant

Mon 9:30pm: Sound asleep in a comfy bed…again

Tues 4:30am: woke up and walked to the lobby for our 5am bus

Tues 6:50am: Our 5am bus arrived…26 seats for 33 people followed by loading the bus, packs on top, 5 people squashed to a row

Tues 7:30am: Just before the last 4 people got on we were told to unload and wait for another bus that would be here in 2 hours

Tues 10am: Still waiting on our bus…mentally preparing for our 18 hour bus ride…

Tuesday 12am still waiting for the bus, drinking mango juice and sitting hoping we will see some elephants, lions, and giraffes along the way on our 18 hour bus ride, but then maybe it will be a 24 hour bus ride, this is Africa.
