Cambodia Recap! from Nathan Hatton on Vimeo.

Last month I was in the middle of NOWHERE Cambodia, surrounded by incredible rice fields and teaching English to the local village people. We had squatty potties, zero AC, zero WiFi, and not much comfort to call my own. I taught english several months on the race, sat in so so many feedback sessions, and done the village thing before. I had been here and done it all before.

Yes I do sound stuck up and un appreciative, I was at the beginning of Cambodia, I did not want to teach English, or be in the middle of no where. I wanted to be somewhere really exciting and doing something I haven't done before. I had none of that, all I had where the people in front of me and Jesus

I did the work well that was put in front of me, and attended all our team times, but something was missing in all I was doing HEART!

Something was holding me back, myself! I even had team mates come up to me and ask “Did I do anything to upset you? You dont seem yourself” I really had to evaluate my self at that point, so I did.

This is what I found out in my soul searching NEVER EVER EVER take where you are and who you are with for granted. God is in it! You are needed, the Jesus in you is needed in that place and in the people in your life. Dont hold back because its not what you want or expected, embrace all of it theres so much love to be found and to be given.

So its safe to say the last two weeks of my ministry were truly amazing yes I was basically teaching English all day and everyone there was saved but man did they bless my life. God blew me away with the beauty of his creation. With the beauty in people, the beauty in a childs smile, or clapping along to the song "Every Move" it truly is amazing.

This is what I learnt in Cambodia

You only get one shot at life don't hold back the trigger.
