Hello again everyone
Just like my last blog I am writing this blog in response to a question that I was asked a few days ago when it comes to my world race. “What do I get out of it, what do I get out of supporting you?” That is a very good question which I haven’t answered yet. So here it is the answer to a very big question.
To me the biggest thing anyone can get out this myself included. Is the opportunity to take the Gospel to nations you have never been to, and maybe never will be able to. To show Gods love in a practical way that will change lives and will heal broken hearts. A chance to really fulfill the great commission in a huge way! To make disciples where there was none. Man it gets me excited! Also People that chose to partner with me will receive regular support letters and postcards, because of how hard it will be to find the time to write and send these postcards and letters I will only be able to send postcards to people who support me with 30 or more dollars per month. Everyone who has supported me in any way will be receiving a support letter via email though on a monthly basis. I will also be blogging regularly and putting as much as I can on Facebook and twitter.
Secondly I just wanted to let people now how hard this will be for me, the last thing I want is for people to think im going on a 11 month vacation. I heard a statistic the other day that quite a few world racers only make it up to 7 months and then come back to the states because they get sick or just can not handle it any more. This will be the hardest thing I have ever done period. Because of that reason it will also be the most rewarding! I will be sleeping in a sleeping bag for 11 months, probably not have a bath or a working shower, see so so so so many huge bugs, get robbed, mocked, see things I wish I never saw, and work like a dog everyday to further the kingdom that is why I GO!
