Dear Friends and Family,

Happy New Year! It amazes me how quick every year passes. I am continually reminded how every minute counts and how precious life truly is. I am going to graduate from Georgia College & State University this May and I am ecstatic to move into a new chapter of my life. I have been blessed with the opportunity to embark on an 11 country 11 month mission trip called the World Race with the organization Adventures in Missions (AIM).  I will be going to Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and one country left to be determined! I will be departing July 1st, 2011 and coming home sometime in May 2012!

God is so good and blesses me more than I deserve! Throughout this trip my team and I will be doing a variety of things such as evangelizing, teaching English, construction, orphan care, feeding our brothers and sisters in Christ, helping destroy human trafficking, and much more.

God has blessed me with the ability to go to Brazil twice along with going to Kenya twice. Those trips have changed my life forever. God became real to me and He solidified my calling while on those trips. Without donations from many people I would have not been able to go on those trips. I am now fundraising for the biggest adventure of my life and without donations I will not be able to afford this trip. I have to raise $15,500 and although I can’t even fathom that kind of money I know God can and will provide.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” –Matthew 6:33-34

I pray God puts it on your heart to donate to my trip. I know this is what God wants me to do and I know He will provide. So I will continue to seek first His kingdom and believe in the promise that He will provide. I understand that some people may not be able to able give, some may be able to give a little, and some may be able to give a lot.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” –Matthew 6:19-21

Whether or not you are able to give I pray you give from your heart and that God blesses you in return. My blog (www.nathandickens.theworldrace.org) is where you will be able to follow me throughout the trip if you are interested. There is another way you can support me as well. That is through prayer! This is most important to me. I need prayer that God will guide my steps through out this process, that He will prepare me for the year to come, that He will prepare my team mates, that He will change our hearts and the hearts of the countries we visit to Him, and that He will give my family the strength to say bye for 11 months. Thank you for your support. I will not be able to do this without you.

Thank you again,
Nathan Dickens
