The first time I felt the presence of Go was when I was 9 years old. At the time I had no idea, but God had something planned big for my life. Few weeks later I reunited with my father after four years. Before I accepted Christ as my lord and savior, I always tended to not pay attention to my spiritual life, even after I was baptized by my old pastor Michael Geddie in 2011. Freshman year this changed. I felt the same voice speak to me, asking me to “come home”. At that moment, I surrendered my life to the lord and life has been great.
Fast forward to senior year, I had my future set. I truly believed that I was going to attend college to play football. But sometimes the lord has a different path set for us, so football was a no go. I chose a career in accounting, and again the lord had a different plan.
I prayed long and hard for God to show what he has in store for me. It all pointed towards the World Race, and I knew from that moment that this is my calling in life.
As Proverbs 16:9 says ” The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” As humans, I believe that we let our own conscience dictate the real vision God has for us in store. Prayer, meditating in God’s word will always make it easier for us to be open minded.
