Africa has a way of making you feel very
insignificant. Its deep problems, hurt and pain swallowing up your thoughts,
emotions or willpower to enact change.

Uganda was the 7th African country I had been to
and going into that month on The World Race I felt like I had a pretty good
grasp on some of the things it had been through as a country.

I was wrong.

During my College years, I had watched the popular “Invisible
Children”
documentary  that
details the story of a Mad-Man named Joseph Kony and his army of Child Soldiers
that he steals from rural villages to battle the Ugandan Government.

And I had heard about the Sudan
on the news and knew there were a lot of problems
in a region called Darfur.

I was hopeful going
in to help make a difference.

Then I read two books
that detailed the problems going on both countries.

One called – “Tears of the Dessert” detailed the
life a girl growing up in Southern Sudan.

The other called – “The Wizard of the Nile” which is the
story a reporter on the hunt to have an interview with the madman Joseph Kony.

What I learned was utterly
overwhelming.

Without going into details that would make anybody’s head
spin – When you look at the WARS
in Sudan and Uganda you have to consider:

China. The Middle East. A Muslim verses Christianity Clash. A corrupt Ugandan government with
support from the United States A demonic Mad Man. Oil. Arms Dealing. Colonization. And satanic
strongholds.

In the middle of this complex wheel are whole tribes being wiped off the face of the earth.

Mass Rapes.
Villages Destroyed. Child abductees
forced to be soldiers. Body Mutilation.

Millions dying
quickly from war or slowly from starvation.

Broken Hearts. Broken Spirits. Families Destroyed and Death
in every shape and form imaginable
.

God has put a fire of Justice in my heart but I am often confused about

What to do with
it or how to live it out.

These books put Me in a frame as a little man in contrast to vast,
complex world issues
.

How
can I make a difference?

In the middle of wrestling through all of this I was able to
come back to a

Simple Life-Giving truth.

All I Can Do Is What
God Has Asked ME To Do

In my two trips around the World I have discovered many issues and causes
worthy of giving
my life to.

And I would kill myself
and most likely be ineffective trying
to help them all.

I, instead, entrust them to
my Father

And Trust my Heart and the Holy Spirit inside of me to guide my desire for Justice.

I walk the middle road:

Neither Un-Caring nor trying to take on the World’s
problems on my shoulders.

Each of us as
Christians must personally and passionately seek Justice.
(Read Matthew 25 or James 1:7 – whether we
live for Justice isn’t an option for a True Believer but HOW we live it out is
up to us!)

So we become steadfast
and faithful in our pursuit of Justice and then live out in

Freedom the unique way
He has created us to live Justly.

the Kingdom of God.

All our needed for
Justice in this World.

Remember our responsibility
isn’t to save the World

It’s to live out
the unique way God has created us and
to be faithful with what we are personally entrusted.

The Injustice in this world is unique, deep and complicated.

The great
news is – So Are You.
