It is the beginning of month three here in Nicaragua and it is hard to believe all of the things that team Ergaleio has accomplished together. In a little over 9 weeks we have been blessed to:
build an office from scratch,
poured a concrete column and platform for a water container,
leveled a plot of land with pick axes and hoes for the foundation of a church,
dug trenches for water lines,
lay cinder blocks to finish the walls of a dormitory,
taught Sunday school classes,
loved and poured into children who do not have a father or mother to care for them,
listened, learned, and laughed with people who society had forgotten in the dumps,
walk through towns and villages talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ,
and spent time with fellow Christians learning how to love one another with God's Agape love, not our conditional love.
There are so many more people to meet, projects to complete and adventures to be had, but our family is in threat of being broken up. Two of my teammates, Grace Kerr and James Muller need to raise more funds by October 1 in order to continue on the World Race.
Over the last few months, I have been given the opportunity to love, serve, and trust James and Grace through some of the most exciting and also difficult times of our lives. I have so many more mistakes to make, memories to share, people to serve, and jokes to tell with them. I have learned how to listen better and how to place my own selfish desires aside for my brother and sister. It would not be a family with out James and Grace.
