Let me start this blog by first being very honest with those of you reading. The thought of doing a blog about my thoughts, feelings, and how God is working personally in my life through the World Race, is terrifying to me. I am not someone who likes to put my personal thoughts, struggles, and successes on a page for the world to read. That is why I have put off writing this blog till now.
Reading other racers blogs inspired me to join the world race, but have also scared me away from being open about my experiences because I felt surrounded by people whose faith was stronger and better than my own.
Did I really belong in the company of such great saints?
I realize now that this question was a deception, a lie. The real question is
Do I belong in the company of God?
And PRAISE the GRACE of GOD I do because of the sacrifice of my SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!
It is with this simple statement of faith that I go on the World Race. To shine His grace and hope to all the people of the world. My heart longs to be one with my Lord, walking in the footsteps of Christ to bring physical healing and eternal hope.
"And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it" Luke 9:23-24
In my quiet moments with God I was convicted of this fact:
This blog is not to prove my standing between me and God or me and man, but to allow you the reader to be opened to the unfolding of the Kingdom of God around the world. To see the sick healed and the hungry fed.
To be blessed by the blessings that Jesus is pouring out on our world!
