Hello All,

It has been a crazy-busy summer; it’s hard to believe it’s almost over! I am quickly approaching my launch date on October 7th.  I wanted to take a chance to thank you all for being interested in my life, and helping to send me on this huge adventure through your thoughts and prayers and your financial support. Without you all it would not be possible for me to go.

Over the past couple months it has been amazing watching all my support come in. I have been both blessed and humbled by everyone’s generosity. I am happy to say that my trip is fully funded!  I wanted to thank everyone for your support and prayers for me and I would like to ask for your continued prayers through the duration of my trip.

I will be flying to Los Angles, which is our launch site, on October 5th. The first stop on my trip around the world will be Guatemala. In Guatemala we will be working with a ministry that gives children in the city of Antigua the chance to receive an education. The school will be on break the month my team and I will be there, so our role will be to hang out with the kids, love on them, and do any maintenance that is needed around the property.

As my launch date comes closer I am beginning to realize what a long time a year out of the country actually is! It is kind of overwhelming when I sit back and think about it. I was listening to a song “Coming Home” and even though I will be leaving everything I know behind I can’t help but have the sense that I am coming home. I was reminded of Matthew 16:24-26:

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man in exchange for his soul?””

Even though I am leaving everything and everyone I know behind I am going to be exactly where I need to be. I will be in the center of God’s will and for me there is nowhere else I would rather be. I can’t wait to see how this trip changes my views and how it affects my steps moving forward.

If you would please be praying for me as I am in the final stages of preparation before my launch date. Pray as I am working on acquiring gear and tying up any loose ends before I leave. Pray for the people in Antigua that my team and I will be partnering with and ministering to. Pray for my teammates who are struggling to meet their financial deadlines and raise their support.

Although I am fully funded for my trip I still have some financial obligations before I leave. I still have some gear to acquire and as of now I have no spending money for the next year. If you would like to help me with acquiring gear, monetary donations specifically for gear or spending money would be greatly appreciated. IMPORTANT: Any monetary gifts for gear and spending will not be tax deductible, but would really help me out.
