A lot is happening fast & furious my Friends! I have a plane to catch in the A.M. to head down to Gainsville, GA where training camp will be held. Woot! The Journey is Officially starting!
For the first 3 days just the men from all the July Squads will go out on a MAN hike that will be lead by the President of AIM, Seth Barnes. We will be hiking around 10 miles a day with our big backs on, doing some manly things I’m sure! But our main focus, even above bonding as brothers, is to learn and discover what it truly means to be a Man of God. How to live out 1 John 2: 5-6.
How to walk (halak) as Jesus walked!
Following the hiking Training Camp will officially begin! Crazy amounts of team challenges will occur. Massive amounts of worship and scripture reading will take place. Lectures on culture and how to share the Gospel in context will be had. And hundreds of us will fall face down before the Lord and give Him our everything (Modekah)! Sounds pretty narley right? I’m stoked for what God has in store!
But it doesn’t slow down from there! After camp, I come back a day early to stand up for my best bud, Tuck in his wedding! A True honor & privilege that I blessed to take part in! Then June 6th is my last official day at Crown Motors! A bittersweet ending because of the great relationships that I have formed with my wonderful co-workers. Yet, it is great to leave because they have been an instrumental part in supporting me as I go out into the mission field and take that leap of faith that God has called me to take!
The week following I take a road-trip with another best friend of mine, Smeenge, to hike the Smokies! Then I go out to Nordhouse camping with my core group of friends. Then to wrap up June I head out to Colorado to lead high-schoolers through the Colorado Challenge experience and share the love that God has for them! All this before launching in the first week of July!
These are definitely some Extreme Days! As I Journey out, my hope is that you would come with me in pray and thought! I ask that you consider praying that our teams begin on the firm foundation of Christ, and that our friendships instantly blossom in trust and companionship. That our weaknesses would be exposed, in order to allow Christ to fill those gaps. And ultimately, that God’s name would be lifted up through the presence and power of His Holy Spirit within our lives!
