We have arrived in Nepal!!! We made it through the crazy traffic of Kathmandu. Motorcycles, Trucks, and Micro vans filled to the brim with people fly by one another as they drive on the wrong side of the road. There are very few road lines, no speed limits posted, and everyone honks as multiple motor vehicles pass each other at the same time (Like 2 vans past one van at the same time in a single lane)! Craziness right!?

We are staying at our hosts house, which is nestled in the valley near Kathmandu surrounded by the start of the Himalayan Mountains. It is truly gorgeous! Each morning I wake up (6am) and I climb the 4 stories to the roof to spend some alone time with the Lord as my eyes gaze into his vast creation that is Nepal! Starting my day with God has made a world of difference in my faith walk, and has allowed me to get in touch with His spirit rather than choosing my own will each morning. This is definitely a major blessing and something I desired since I first committed to the race.
Our mornings & evenings have been filled with visiting all the little fellowship houses in the area. At each house we are asked to share a testimony and a message with them. Just one day off the plane and we are out preaching! J each fellowship starts out with Nepali worship and on occasion one English worship song! Then we move into the teaching and testimonies, and following that we have intercession prayer. Nepali prayer is very different then what we are used too. The entire fellowship (5-20 people) and our team begin to pray out loud all at once! We do this multiple times for different prayer topics; from declaring the presence of God to asking God to open up hearts in the community for His love, or asking God provision for the fellowship and asking Him to cast out any evil spirits that have been prayed upon them by local hindus. Nepali’s are very soft spoken but when they pray a fiery passion rises up in them and man do they go all out! It is truly Spirited-filled and inspiring!

Just last night we fit 45 people of all ages and generations into a small 7 X 20 ft. room! They all came to here a message from God and worship him. It was a rundown cement barn house basically with the Cow right next to the room we were worship in! It didn’t matter the living situation we were just happy to fellowship with one another and glorify God!
This week we have walked all throughout the valley now visiting almost all of the fellowship houses! Each hike is anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Please be in continual prayer for my group that we would be listen to God’s spirit, allowing Him to speak words into these Nepali people. And please pray for more and more Nepali’s be open to the gospel of Christ! These are exciting times! Tomorrow we have Church and next week our Teams teach a 3 day seminar on the Great Commission!
WR Fun Facts: Rice daily, I only ever used the squatty potty here, and get an occasional bucket shower! EPIC
