Hey, y’all

Got highspeed internet in LA, so I’m trying to make the most of a good opportunity.  First off I just want to thank you all for reading and commenting on my blogs.  It really means a lot to me.  And of course, thank you for the prayers.  We can feel them.

About the next step in our journey, contrairy to popular belief, I am NOT going to Viet Nam in March:)  We are in fact going to Cambodia to work at an orphanage in Phenom Pen.  It is a possibility that we will not get to go to that ministry because all the kids have school in the day so we would have no ministry until the afternoon.  For that reason, it is still up in the air as to whether or not we will be working in that place.  God is good.  He’ll shoot us straight!

One thing that has frightened me about this next step in a journey around the world is that in about a day of travel, we will be on the other side of the STINKIN’ PLANET!  In the Caribbean, it was one thing.  I was just around the corner from home.  And the culture is close enough to our own that we can adapt.  They speak a language that some of us understand and can communicate back to them.  But in Asia, it is going to be completely different.  No one knows the language.  No one knows the rules.  Completely and uterly vulnerable with God.  It’s a whole knew game.  It’s a whole new level of commitment for me.  Another piece of my life to hand over to God, knowing full well that He will be with me, in this Next Step.

That and I’m certainly not looking forward to a 21 hour flight followed by a 19 hour bus ride….  but who’s counting?

In Christ, Nate
