WelL, we Are
done with Our month of miniStry in the beautiful country of (read
the bold letters), which, if pronounced properly, rhymes with
“cow”. No S sound. It was an amazing month of God coming through
for us and showing off His ability to provide. We as Team Manna had gotten lots of signs pointing us to Lice before we
went, and we know now that they were certainly not misread.

When we got there, we
knew little more than who was going to pick us up from the border. No idea where we were going to stay. No idea where we were going to eat. Absolutely no idea how to deal with the
language barrier. Well, turns out, our
contact had been living in Lice for 16 or 17 years and is quite fluent in the
language. So he helped us arrange for a
few rooms at a cheap hotel on the outskirts of the capitol city. He showed us a few places to get food and
gave us a few words in Licenese to help us get along. And half way through the month, we were
presented with the blessing of being able to stay in a family’s house while
they were gone for free! What?! When does that ever happen on the race? It included A/C, laundry, beds, refrigerator,
stove, oven, hot water, and American toilets! Ahh, the little things. This was supposed
to be the month that we would learn to rely on the Lord when money was tight,
and we ended up WAY under budget with more blessings than any month
before. God is so good.

For our ministry, we
were working with a bunch of guys living in one house who have had problems
with addiction. We would worship in the
morning followed by bible study/testimony time. We all got the opportunity to share our story, as well as each of
them. I was awesome just to pour into
them and lift them up in prayer. We got
to lead several of the morning bible studies and perform a drama of Christ for
them. And we even got to teach them the
drama so they can bless even more people with it. It was incredible how deep a relationship we
built with them just by hanging out with them. One of the guys spoke decent English, but most of our communication was
through the love of God. They encouraged
us. We encouraged them. We shared jokes, life experiences, and dreams
all with little to no verbal translation. God is amazing!

I apologize for being
vague, but the internet is a dangerous place. I wrote all kinds of details in my journal so if you want to know more
about the month, I will be sharing more when I go back home. And, as always, you can check out the blogs
from the rest of Team Manna on their pages. Thank you for understanding.

Yours in Christ,

Nate

P.S. I am posting a bunch of blogs at once, so
