INTERNET!

So happy to be able to blog again.  A lot has happened since San Juan.  First we had our first “Race Day”.  That was awesome.  I will be doing a separate blog on that so keep your monitors open:)  For now, the details.  We had trouble getting across the border because of some protesting against the bus companies.  We were so thankful that they didn’t care about the missionaries, just the bus they were on!  Finally after an hour and a half of being at a dead standstill, we all started praying and praising.  It worked.  An hour later we were across the border and rolling again.

Team Manna finally got to our ministry sight after 2 days of traveling.  We are staying in Les Cayes (pronounced keys) at the Cambry Orphanage.  We are working on sanding down the walls in the guest house (currently under renovation) to get ready to paint.  The fun part is that there are a LOT of walls in this place.  Sore arms and frequent showers.  Praise God for a good hard day’s work.  Makes me feel important:)
Asides from that, we are hanging out with orphans and teaching the kids at the school as much English as we can.  We’re teaching them how to sing Open The Eyes Of My Heart, and they’re getting kinda good.  Also teaching kids colors and small talk.

Fun fun fun.  I already have two little orphans that frequent my lap.  A little girl about 3 or 4 years old named Jidlan, and a little girl (who looks so much like Lovena its crazy) about the same age.  Her friends have told me her name about 5 times and I still can’t understand it.  I’ll have to have them write it down for me.

For more info, check out the other blogs from Team Manna at www.theworldrace.org.  Just consider it like comparing the Gospels.  For now, keep praying and keep commenting.  I LOVE the comments.  And I’ll keep praying for you.

Your servant in Christ
