We have spent one week thus far in Albania. We are in the beautiful, almost coastal town of Lezhe, working alongside a ministry called Light Force Albania. Light Force is an organization based out of Milton Keynes, England. They primarily provide humanitarian relief to local villages. We are working at one of their bases where, during the summer, the partner with WorldVision to host kids camps. Because it really isn’t summer yet, we are doing mainly maintenance work. The first day was spent cutting through about 100 feet of thorny bushes and bamboo, in order to clear the fence so that it could be painted. There is also lime washing being done. Not like with the fruit, but the mineral. It is a cheap way to paint things white, but it is time consuming, and requires many coats. The schedule usually looks something like this:

0700: wake up
0730: breakfast
0800: devotional from Proverbs
0930: work starts
1230: lunch break
1400: work starts
1700: clean up
1800: dinner
1930: Team Time
2130: Bed time

This month is also different in that I have a new team. It has been really great to get to know better more people on my squad.
