Dear Family and Friends,
As most of you know, Jess and I are BIG dreamers who constantly look for ways to reach the hurting and love the “unlovable”. We have decided to embark on a new journey with an organization called Adventures In Missions (AIM). They run a program called the World race which is an 11 month mission trip where we travel to a different country each month. We will be working with orphanages, churches, hitting the streets to go love the prostitutes enslaved to a lifestyle they didn’t ask for, and changing the world one person at a time! 11 months is a long time but we won’t be alone! We will travel with a team of 7 people and get to build awesome lifetime relationships with them. Our launch date is January 1st 2014 and we will be back in the states on November 30th 2014.
This letter is our way of asking you who we love and care about to partner with us in our new adventure! We are not just asking for money in this letter, although it is needed for us to go! Please do not feel obligated to give, but consider that your financial help is a way for you to vicariously help others ALL around the world! Encouragement and prayer are also great ways to support us in this new crazy adventure! The price for this trip is $15,500 per person, so $31,000 for both of us together. At first we thought this was a lot of money to raise but we took a step back and decided we can do it! This money will cover all transportation from each country (except for where we need to meet our team). It will cover food, lodging, and also fun things for us to do along the way.
There are a couple of exciting ways you can be a part of our team! You can “subscribe” or give monthly to our cause or make a one-time donation. We also have lots of extra expenses like gear, passports, and transportation to and from our training and launch sites. If you would like to give to us in this area, you can email or call us! Here is the exciting part: when you make the decision to partner with us you will receive gifts from us. YAHOO! Whether or not you give, you will still have the gift of following us, where we are and what we are doing! We will have a blog where you can follow us to each city, town, village, and country.
