Marriage Questions:

Where/How Did You Meet?

  • We met in 2010 at Southwestern College(now Arizona Christian University). Being the very outgoing person that I am, our first time seeing each other, I'm pretty sure I was in super short cutoff's and a long sleeve, colorful, button up shirt and came over to her to say hi! She was a new girl on campus, and I aint gonna lie, thought she was pretty hot! (She still is!) We grew a friendship and just started to get to know each other and fell in love! AWE!!!

How Long Have You Been Married?

  • It will be two years October 5, 2013. GET EXCITED!

What's Your Spouse's Greatest Strength's?

  • J: Nate is an amazing leader, a great encourager and teacher. He is an amazing singer and musician. I love that he can make me laugh in almost any situation or problem we face. He has an amazing sense of humor (sometimes gets to his head) and he love people no matter their situation.
  • N: She is INCREDIBLE with kids!! She's extremely nurturing. She may not always have words to say, unlike me, but she knows how to hold someone and make them feel loved and valued with out even making a sound! She's really, really, weird! Which is good, because she really knows how to make people laugh and how to light up a room with her beautiful smile!!

What's Is One Of Your Spouse's Weakness's?

  • J: We all have a weakness but I think Nate's is definitely talking. I know it sounds funny but man this handsome feller can talk. Its a great strength of his as well but he can overwhelm people sometimes and loose people in his conversation.
  • N: She easily jumps to conclusions or assumes a lot. lol. Which can sometimes be funny, but it can also cause herself pain that is unnecessary. 😉

What Thing Does Your Spouse Do That Annoys You The Most?

  • J: FLICKING HIS TOES. He plays drums with them when he is bored. Sometimes he doesn't even realize he is doing it. I'm not a foot person, I think they are ugly and I'm married to a toe flicker…
  • N: WHEN SHE TELLS ME TO STOP FLICKING MY TOES!!!! 😛

What's One Thing You Love About Your Spouse?

  • J: I love that he is amazing with kids. We are actually babysitting right now and he is playing with her while I get my answers done. All I hear is laughing it makes my heart smile =).
  • N: There are so many to pick from though……I LOVE her unreligous, real, raw, relationship with Jesus. She really see's Dad for who He is, and often times shows me His heart for me! She's taught me so much about Him just by being herself and not trying to teach me!! She's broken many boxes of mine!!

World Race Questions:

Why The World Race?

  • J: Its an adventure, one that will change my life and others. Ill be able to build life long friendships and have memories that will last a life time. My eyes will be open to other countries and I will be able to help others in a greater need than I can't even imagine.
  • N: Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to travel the world!! And when I heard about The Race 4 years ago, traveling the world and showing people Jesus and living in community, I couldn't think of anything else I've wanted to do more than this!!

What Are You Least Excited About?

  • J: I think I am least excited about some of the food that we will be eating. It'll be an adventure in itself. I am excited to try new things but nervous at the same time.
  • N: Honestly, FOOD!

What Are You Super Stoked About?

  • J: Im super Stoked that we will be able to love on children and sex trafficking victims. I can't wait to bring them REAL love and show them a daddy who really does love them unconditionally when their parents can't. My heart hurts for the children and people forced into things like that and I can't wait to just LOVE them. I think I already said that but as you will find I can sometimes repeat my self =).
  • N: Honestly, FOOD!!! But seriously, I LOVE kids and I think I'm really looking forward to working with orphans! I'm also AMPED about experiencing different cultures and seeing how the whole earth is filled with His glory!!

What Country Do You Think You'll Like The Most?

  • J: THAILAND. Super stoked about this country because you don't really hear a whole lot about it. It'll be a new adventure not knowing what it is like and to be able to tell other people about the culture. Also they have elephants (my favorite animal) that paint pictures of other elephants. SO RAD! You can look it up on YouTube.
  • N: The Philippines: Mainly because I've heard so many awesome things about their culture! How they are so warm and inviting and they believe that it takes a whole village to raise a child! (At least that's what I've heard)
