Where is home? What is home?
Is it a place? Is it a person?

In this season of my life I have discovered that home is wherever the Lord is! It isn’t a particular place, but rather a person (that person is Jesus Christ).
This past year home has been many places. Home has been Georgia, Thailand, Malaysia, and currently India. When I think about the phrase, “I miss home”, I realize that as long as you are wherever the Lord is that that statement cannot be true. This may seem scary or harsh, but it’s honestly comforting. Realizing that Jesus is our home brings relief and takes all fears and anxieties away.
So far I have missed Thanksgiving at “home” and soon I will be missing Christmas at “home”, but truly I am home! If I were to be at my home in America this year for all these holidays then I really would have been missing home because it would not have been where the Lord desired me to be.

If you are finding yourself missing your home this year for the holidays remember that Jesus Christ is your home, and you can take great comfort in that!
If you are finding yourself at a crossroads feeling like the Lord is calling you to something that may seem scary or you may be afraid of missing out on something else, remember that obedience is so much better than sacrifice! God will never lead you to a place that you shouldn’t be or that you will regret. Trust Him; He’s got you!!!
