So, yesterday I went to the grocery store with a couple teammates to buy some food for the next day. Let me tell you, it sure was interesting! I felt like a college student in a foreign country who doesn’t know the language and on a world race budget (minus all the school work)!

We went up and down the rows looking for food, not finding very much. You know, it’s so hard buying food for one person.

I saw eggs, but they were just sitting on the shelf, which is probably fine, but my American brain couldn’t wrap around the fact that it wasn’t in the refrigerated section!

I thought about getting some bread and Nutella, but Nutella is soooo expensive; it’s definitely not in the budget.

*To Mrs. J Jones and all my fellow classmates, Dave Ramsey all the way 🙂

After much searching and seeking I went with the usual cup-of-noodles (Thai style). The container said garlic chicken, but there was definitely something else in there because it lit my mouth on fire!!!!!!!!!!

In preparation, I was trying to figure out the correct way to heat the noodles because I wasn’t sure if it was different from other types of cup-of-noodles. Except there was one thing, everything was is Thai. Thankfully, I eventually found some picture instructions from which I gathered that it is like the normal ones, just add hot water and stir!

P.S. We will be starting ministry Monday: Pray for our minds to be fixed on things above and not things below!

Love, Natasha
