Isaiah 62:6; 10-12

“… You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent…

Go through,

Go through the gates!

Prepare the way for the people;

Build up,

Build up the highway!

Take out the stones,

Lift up a banner for the peoples!

Indeed the Lord has proclaimed

To the end of the world:

“Say to the daughter of Zion,

‘Surely your salvation is coming;

Behold, His reward is with Him,

And His word before Him.’ “

And they shall call them The Holy People,

The Redeemed of the Lord;

And you shall be called Sought Out,

A City Not Forsaken.”

The Lord brought me to this passage of Scripture as I was becoming discouraged here in Thailand as our scheduled ministry has been manual labor for these past two months. We have been sanding and painting nonstop, and it felt like I wasn’t making any difference in Thailand for the Kingdom of Heaven. But the Lord told me otherwise!

Through this passage the Lord showed me that our work here in Thailand has been a clearing of the path so that when others come they can continue the work that the Lord has planned for Thailand. We’ve been preparing the way; we’ve been building up the highway; we’ve been taking out the stones. We have been given the opportunity to clear the path for the next group to come. That’s how ministry goes. Some people clear the land, some people plant the seeds, others water the land, and still others take care of the harvest!

The salvation of the people of Thailand is coming! Their name shall no longer be Forsaken or Desolate but Sought Out and A City Not Forsaken!
