Today was a special day in our ministry. Our contact, Teresa, asked us to take a day off from teaching and focus on praying for their ministry and this village. I was so touched by the list of prayer points that they gave us to pray for today, that I wanted to share them with you so you can have a visual of what the people here in Nepal are praying for on a daily basis. These things are pretty normal to me now, but some of these requests may be surprising to others. I have written the prayer points that she gave us, word for word, in red, and made some comments of my own in blue. Please join us in prayer for these needs!
*Nijgadh will know our Lord Jesus.
*From this place many missionaries should raise up in the future. (I have already seen the hunger some of these children have for the Lord)
*Our neighbors will know our Lord Jesus. ( Teresa and Daniel are such a stong witness of love in their community)
*Our school students, teachers, and parents will know our Lord Jesus. (We are the 3rd World Race team here in this town.. I pray for future teams that they will continue to disciple the children and teachers and get to know the families in the village.)
*GEMS organization will be established all over the world. All of the missionaries will be sincere to work for Jesus only and not for men.
In Nepal, we should have 75 churches established. This is our vision but within the last 4 years, we have planted 9 churches only. Pray the rest of the churches be established as fast as possible.
*Pray for our director, Augustine, and his family.
*Pray for our school roof tops, that they will be closed with tiles so the rooms don’t flood. (When it rains, about half of the classrooms leak then flood, so the students have to move into other classrooms and join other classes)
*Pray for a school library. (The only supplies the students have are some paper text books and notebooks)
*Pray for school science laboratories.
*Pray for boys and girls toilets. (there is only one toilet in the school)
*Pray for the playground and campus will be constructed with a proper fence.
*Pray for school play things needed especially for the kindergarten kids. (There are students at this school starting at 3 and 4 years old that have no learning materials. They literally sit in a classroom all day at a desk… they need things desperately, like puzzles, books, toys..)
*Pray for Daniel, Christina, and I that we will fulfill God’s vision in our life.
*Pray for the delivery of my baby, especially the doctor that will see me and for the money expense. (Teresa is due to have the baby any day now and she is still serving me and my team as much as she can)
*Pray for my sister and her daughter and for their will and vision.
Pray for Daniel’s journey and for protection in the vehicles. (Daniel took a trip to Channai.. on bus, motorbike, and train)
*I thank our Lord Jesus for giving me you guys who will give us prayer support!
