for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger
and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted
because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:3-10
This week, we were able to meet with the elderly people of this community. Once a week the poor, homeless and afflicted meet here to receive rations of rice, flour, and sugar. Our hearts broke as they shared their stories… their children left them and don’t take care of them… they are sick but have no medical treatment, they are too old to work for food… We were able to share with them, pray for them and just show them love. Even though there was suffering and sadness all around, I could feel the Holy Spirit moving through that place and working in their lives. Please join me in prayer for this group of sweet, sweet people. The government is currently trying to raise money to build a community center where hot meals can be served to these people.

Below is a video made by my talented teammate Beka of our ministry this month! Enjoy!
