Bread.  I like it.  Whether it’s rye, wheat, sourdough, pumpernickel, or just about any other type of carbs-goodness, I like it.  I especially enjoy going to places like Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden where not only is the bread amazing, but they just keep bringing it to you.  Yeah, that’s a little piece of awesomeness right there.

At any rate, this is not just about actual bread.  This is about the daily bread the Lord promises to provide us, which includes sustenance, clothing, a place to sleep and anything else we need for the day.  A couple days ago I was asking Him when my housing situation in Ft. Myers will get worked out and He basically said “do you have everything you need for today?”  I responded that yes, I did, and He said “just keep trusting then.”

If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think He'll attend to you, take pride in you, do His best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Matthew 30-34, The Message

And above all things physical, I have His love and His cloak of promises sewn by threads of His faithfulness.  I have everything I need: Him.  🙂
