The dead rise. The lame dance. The mute cry out in joy. The weak grow strong and the enslaved are set free. This is what the power of the Holy Spirit does. This is the power that lives inside every Christ-follower.
The Holy Spirit is so magnificent, so wonderful, so amazing and even so mysterious that fully grasping His might is humanly impossible. His power can defeat every arrow, every sling, every stone that is launched by the enemy. He provides boldness where once there was timidity. He lavishes healing where sorrow once ruled. He restores the heart shattered by brokenness. His words are eloquent, His touch is electric and His movement is undeniable. And He chooses to live in us. Wow. Not only that, He uses us as a vessel to be His light to the world. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
We have the chance every day to walk in His courage, His strength, His power. We can be confident knowing through Him lives are literally changing and He often uses us to be His conduits. We are Power Rangers; not by anything we do, but by the power of the Holy One in us. “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7. And if you must wear a blue, pink, red, black or yellow costume…so be it. 🙂
