I’ve been sitting here for an hour trying to write a blog…sometimes the words just come to me but for whatever reason I’m having difficulty coming up with exactly what I want to say. So instead of formulating something just for the sake of formulation, I am going to write about Love, because I am alive for Love and because of Love.
Love looks at us with a level of fervor and reckless passion that is unequaled, and for that matter, is indefinable. Love delights in who you are, because He created you. I become speechless when I let that thought capture my mind; Love DELIGHTS in me; Love DELIGHTS in you. He doesn’t just like you, He enjoys you. Love WANTS to spend time with us. HE wants us to walk, talk, sing, dance and rejoice with Him and in Him. Love knows your every breath, and with every breath you take He cannot love you more because He already loves you to perfection. Love’s affections for you are so numerous that grains of sand pale in comparison.
Love loves us so much that He wants to see us live in His freedom; freedom from earthly chains, freedom from the lies that we’re not valuable, freedom from complacency. Which is why He is always beckoning us into a greater, deeper relationship with Him. The more our eyes and our hearts reflect the character of Love, the more we bring Love’s Kingdom to the hurt and broken. There is not a place of brokenness that Love can’t reach, there’s not a wound so deep that Love can’t heal it. Whether it’s in ourselves or in others, Love is Restoration. Love is Renewal. Love is Hope. And oh, how He loves you. 🙂
