In four days we will be in Thailand, readjusting to a new culture, new surroundings and unique food (preferably no fried bugs, thank you very much. :-).  It’s really hard to believe our time in Cambodia is almost over.  I’m going to miss riding on the back of a moto every day to go work at the home of the Director of Daughters of Cambodia (no worries Mom, I haven’t felt unsafe…for the most part 🙂 ).  I’m going to miss Liza, who makes a mean bowl of fried rice and is always joyful when we go eat at her corner restaurant about four blocks away from our Guesthouse.  I’m going to miss all of the children at the Daycare who have stolen my heart with their smiles and hugs.  I’m going to miss working at Daughters, a place of Christ’s restoration and hope for victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation.  I’m going to miss walking to the market and bartering for a fair price on bread and pineapple.  I’m just going to miss this place.

But at the same time, I’m very excited at whatever the Lord has in store for us these remaining three months.  He has shown Himself time and time again and I know He has much more He wants to do in us, through us and around us in order to bring His Kingdom to the world and reveal His love to the nations.  I love finding rest in the fact that nothing is a surprise to Him, nothing catches Him off-guard and nothing, absolutely nothing is beyond His reach.  And just like this past month, I imagine the rest of the trip will fly by faster than a speeding moto… 🙂
