Guess what!
It's my favorite time of year.
I absolutely LOVE December.
It's full of love, joy, expectation, Christmas, and, not to mention, my birthday.
Yep, definitely my favorite time of the year.
But this year, it's bittersweet. It's my last month before departing for TWR January 9th . . . and there's still SO MUCH TO DO AND GET! I feel like I'm in the midst of a whirlwind, so I apologize for not posting the last few days. I'll work on that – promise! 🙂
I wanted to write a quick blog to touch base with all of you since my birthday is in a week and I'm pretty sure you have been mulling over what to get me . . WELL – have no fear, I have the answer. 😉 (lol)
I kid, I kid, but really if you have been wanting to donate but haven't gotten around to it – now is the perfect time!
A lot of people are confused as to my fundraising efforts. I have met the December deadline by the Grace of God but still need $7900 before I'm fully funded (due by June 2012).
I will be 23 on December 12th and would be truly honored if I could find 23 donors between now and then to signify the work that the Lord has done in my life over the past 23 years of my existence.
Any amount is significant and I urge you to pray about helping.
Whether it's a monthly donation of $23 (or any increment)
or a one time donation of $161 ($23 dollars per month til June or any increment) –
it would truly be a blessing.
And would impact those around the world. You're not donating to me. You're donating to them – . . the lost, the abused, the forgotten.
The hopeless.
Also, if you'd like to be a bit more savvy,
I still need some basic gear.
Coming from a girly family and growing up in South Florida,
I don't own any camping gear so having to find it all has been a struggle and quite expensive.
I've included a link to my REI 'gift registry' below. You are able to pick something off of it to purchase and REI will send it to my address. If you do go that route, please make me aware of your purchase so someone is looking out for it. 🙂
There's a list of other randoms that I need that aren't available at REI. If you'd like to donate through purchasing one of those items, please touch base with me and I'll be more than happy to provide an address, etc.
